“We have been working with ACO Mold since 2018. One project that stands out was a connector for a blood analysis device. The design required extremely tight tolerances (±0.01mm) to prevent liquid leakage, and our initial prototype from another supplier kept failing the pressure test.
We sent the drawings to ACO and were worried it might be impossible. Instead of just quoting the mold, their engineer Mark spent two days analyzing the flow path and suggested moving the gate position and using a different grade of PC material. He provided a simple DFM report explaining why the original design would trap air.
We decided to trust their suggestion. After the first trial, the sample passed the leakage test immediately. There were no extra charges for the design change.
