Producing an injection moulded accessory using Rapid moulds
Am not very clear on the technologies with injection moulding, however, I am looking at relatively small scale production, anything around 1k to 10k. Dose anyone have any recommendation for companies based in the Europe. I have looked at manufacturing this in the UK and its just a bit to expensive. Per product costs was too high to scale up.

It will be difficult to recover tooling cost at low volume. At 10K you are in the realm of AL insert for Master Unit Die at 1K the tooling costs would over inflate the piece price. Have you considered urethane castings until your ready to scale up? They make a silicone mold from a FDM or SLA part.
For the AL MUD insert Protomold is competitive and responsive. They can get your parts across the pond overnight. You will have to absorb the cost until the volumes climb.

Hello, Abs, we can make injection mold and part for you. my suggestion is for small quality part, you can only need the part no need the mold, let mold supplier use old mold base and local standard, so that the price will be cheaper.

Hello Abs,
For small quantities, I have 3 solutions in mind to reduce your cost:
- prototype mould
- aluminium mould
- as said Lily Chang, the use of an old mould base
Good luck for your project.
