India – next place for Mold Manufacturing
India has second biggest population in the world with 70% of population below 30 years of age. About 60% literacy level from which 50% graduated from English speaking school; so fluent English. Ruled by Britisher for 200 years gave India English has second language for anyone.
India is one of the biggest democratic county where you have freedom to innovate and develop new ideas without any restriction. Due to huge population, survival of fitness, still rules.
India has his population concentrated near major metro cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. There is lot of land which looks like country side of USA.
Mr.Hiral says, “I work for company called Custom Mold Maker LLC which is based in Northern Virginia with its manufacturing unit in India. We have always found our Indian team coming back to us with innovative idea to solve any problem and surprises me every time I listen them. And I keep on thinking how can they do this and looking at history and freedom in this country justified my thoughts. Britishers gave them to be on time and punctual with quality”.
Any different thoughts…..
I do agree with your comments. Indeed India is emerging as a mold manufacturing hub meeting the global standards.
However our personal experience with most of Indian tool makers have indicated the need for fine tuning of the tools particularly for Parting Line flash and the molds for paint applications.
With vast intellectual potential we can beat the quality levels of any country in future

Good for India! :-)
I believe those who concentrate on developing their own technology and improve their skills now will be the mold making giants in a few years later. Good luck to you!
Sonia
We are looking to develop "technology transfer agreements" for mold builds with molding companies in India but this requires a close business relationship and initial engineering / mold builds to be done at our facility in USA.
Vic
I am very happy to know that you are all agreeing. Getting success is not so easy; we need to do lot to achieve that; which is possible and will do it.
Good Molds are identified by their Design Capabilities, Manufacturing Facilities and the Quality built in along with the Speed of Delivery to the Customers. In case of any one link missing in the above chain gives trouble in the total integrity. The Commitment to deliver good Molds gives Customer Satisfaction, which is very important. Also the Marketing talents with Cultural efforts are adding value to that. However, the Competitive Advantages of Technology, Production, Logistics, Marketing & Speed along with the Comparable Advantages of Minds, Man, Material, Money & Machinery are contributing more on the SUCCESS. Sure, all our Mold Makers take oath on this to prosper well in the Global Scenario.
Sure, Mr.Vic will get answer soon for his question, "We are looking to develop "technology transfer agreements" for mold builds with molding company's in India but this requires a close business relationship and initial engineering / mold builds to be done at our facility in USA".
Best Regards,
