Good Afternoon!I am new to this group and I am an inventor.I have invented a plastic product and I would like to get a prototype done.This product is made of polyethylene and a secondary material (not sure if I want to use PVC, Vinyl, Rubber etc.I want to use the inexpensive material that will work/bond with polyethylene).I have just had my cad/solid works drawing done and I am looking for a manufacture.Keep in mind that I am a small first-time entrepreneur and I don’t have 100’s of thousands of dollars to pay for steel/metal molds.I did some research and found out that I can get an Epoxy mold done just for the prototype for injection molding. I was wondering what are the price ranges for this and how soon can I get a prototype done?What material do you guys recommend to work with polyethylene?What are some nice economical manufactures?

I have not done a Epoxy mold for injection molding. I dont think it would hold up very long. it would be OK for a pour type, but not injection. depending on part, check into a aluminum mold of you have to injection mold.

Thank you Henry! I saw the aluminum mold as the next cheapest way. I really just want a basic working protype to see if the product works the way it should before I invest money to make thousands of them. I didn't know that an Epoxy mold was just for pouring...Thank you again!
