Concerns on selecting an injection mold maker in China?
Hi all, if you are a seller, do you know what are the customer’s mostly concern aspects on selecting an injection mold maker in China?
If you are a buyer, how do you select a reliable mold maker in China?
Any sharing will be highly appreciated. I think it will be interesting and useful to know your opions, to “exchange apples”~~

"If you are a buyer, how do you select a reliable mold maker in China?"
Well, there are couples of things to check:
* Does the company really exist? (no joke...)
* Does the company is a trading or a manufacturer?
* Do they have references? If yes, are they willing to share some of them with us?
* Which kind of products are they specialized in (I do not believe in guys who can do "everything, no problem")?
* Which kind of production tools do they have?
* Which kind of measurement tool and gauges do they have?
* How often those tools are checked? By who? Do they have certificates?
* How the workshop is organized? Can you see clearly inside? Do the workers are trained or are they just non-qualified people working around? Do they know the tools they are supposed to use? Do they have draing on their station?
* Where does the steel come from (local or imported)? Are they able to provide material certificates?
* Do they test moulds? If yes how? Which kind of machine? ...
List is non exhaustive, but that's the few things pop to my mind.

If you are a seller,....
Well,it depends on your products. It is critical whether the maker has an experience on the products which are similar with yours.

Hi Christophe, I like your detail comments listed in questions. And here I add more questions the buyer may consider:
1.Who will follow up the project after getting my P.O ? How's his/ her communication ability?
2.How can I keep up to mold build progress? (That's important especially when you are not in the same location)
3.How about their performance on the service? What if I have any question? Any complaints?
4.How is the mold shop different than all the other molders and mold makers in China?
5.How does the mold shop insure consistent quality?
6.What is the mold shop that makes it more dependable than others?
I believe there are more questions a buyer will think about. And I would like to see more good idea from more guys ~~

Hi Anna, I can't agree you more. Experience is also an important factor

I feel that most of the injection mould buyers care much in price, especially for new buyers.

Hi Della, maybe I used a uncorrect word there. I meant the experience whether the manufactures have is very important for your products. If they have a lot of experiences, they can find all protential risks or problems when they review your drawings, instead, they find these risks and problems when the molds are finished.Thanks.

Good technology in mold design, manufacture and quality is more important. Then it is the price.
