Kurt, sounds like a significant improvement for our industry. My experience has shown all (100%) of the nozzle shut-off valves that I have tested to add about 2,000 psi or more pressure drop to the flow path. Further, they have been a high maintenance item. Pressure drop is easily measured, how much pressure drop does you valve have? Could you provide the data for the pressure drop and could you describe the "spacious and ideal melt channel" in diameter, length, geometry of the flow path?

Herzog is a very well known supplier of shut-off nozzle. It is a swiss brand and, for me, the best one!

So I am asking, provided you have answers for Mr. Bozzelli's questions. We currently use a shut off nozzle and while I am not a big fan it enables us to cut about 1 sec on the overall cycle. If you can provide similar performance with reduced pressure drop, there is interest.
